Aketi (RS 8409-2171-8-7640806-84 A3 in beta patch 4) is a temperate E-Class world located in a binary star system 61,868 light years from Earth at the edge of the Milky Way. It is the third planet from its sun and has three moons, one large S-Class moon called Narda and two captured asteroids.

Aketi is the homeworld of the Sartins, a peaceful early-Type II civilization, collecting the energy of both suns and colonizing every planet in their solar system. Humans discovered the Sartins in 3180 C.E and formed an alliance with them. They both agreed to share colonies, allowing Humans and Sartins to live in the same colonies. Humans established several mining outposts on the dark side of the planet's ice and turn into liquid fuel.

One of the most famous space ports on the planet resides in the deep, icy basin: Taka, also home to a super-volcano.


Aketi orbits its sun: Maiva A, every 20 days at a distance of 0.083 AU from its sun.  Due to its distance to the star, th e world is tidally locked: one side is permanent daylight and the other side is never ending darkness. Orbiting Aketi is three other moons, two captured asteroids and one larger S-Class moon called Narda.


Aketi has 62% the mass of Earth with a diameter of 10752 km. This gives the planet a gravitational pull of 0.88 g. Aketi and its system of planets and two suns are 4.972 billion years old.


Life on Aketi has evolved for the last 3.8 billion years. In the last 2.4 billion years, life had evolved to multicellular creatures on both land and in the oceans. The smallest plant lives at the bottom of the oceans and grow up to a maximum of 5 cm.

The tallest plant lives on the mainland, growing as tall as 440 meters and on extreme occasions up to 520 meters. Most animals live in the ocean, roughly about 63% of all animals on the planet. The other 37% animals live on mainland. The animals on the day side have adapted to extreme temperatures and constant sunlight. On the night side, animals here are extremely sensitive to daylight. The night side animals dig holes in the ice and hide there until they hunt for food whenever hungry.

Formation & Evolution

The Aketi solar system formed 4.972 billion years ago. The trigger of the formation was most likely a nearby supernova that sent a shockwave through the molecular cloud, thus triggering the formation of stars. After hundreds of thousands of years, the star group had dispersed, following their own orbits around the Milky Way galaxy. Maiva A and B most likely formed much closer together until a close encounter with another star had pulled the two stars further out into their current orbits. Around these two stars were disks of dust and gas which eventually formed all the planets, dwarf planets, asteroids and moons in the entire solar system.

Aketi, however, follows a very unique timeline because of its ability to support life. Its believed that water and organic compounds were delivered by asteroids and comets that crashed to the surface of Aketi and eventually formed its oceans.

Unlike Earth's moon, Narda (Aketi's larger moon) was formed from the disk of dust and gas that surrounded Aketi instead of its formation being triggered by a planet vs. planet collision.

Sartin History

Sartins are believed to first appeared on the planet almost 3.7 million years ago. They first originated on the dark, icy side of the planet but soon migrated towards the brighter and warmer side due to a sudden global warming event about 1.8 million years ago. The global population about 1.9 million years ago was 6 million but had quickly diminished when the supervolcano Taka last erupted, bringing the Sartins on the brink of extinction. The Sartin population gradually increased over thousands of years, experiencing such events as ice ages, asteroid impacts, climate change and the extinction of other animals and plants. Due to the increase of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, the temperatures are rising. In 2634 C.E, the carbon dioxide levels stabilized and the temperatures had risen 5 degrees celsius above the average Aketian temperature

During the last 3,000 years, the Sartins were an ideal target for alien civilizations.

In 2844 C.E, a mysterious, humanoid figure was first spotted on Aketi. As of 10,000 C.E, most Sartins believe it is the mysterious man known as the Traveler. Although there has been no more sightings of the Traveler, many Sartins think he may return.


Sartins, despite being a peaceful race, have been involved with four wars since the start of their Industrial Revolution. Their most recent war was between 2480 C.E and 2560 C.E, also known as the Great Aketian War. The war had lasted 87 years and came to a dramatic ending in 2567 C.E. The war had involved Aketi and another civilization, originating on planet Aerapha thousands of light years away, also located on the edge of the Milky Way. About 700 million Sartins had been injured and about 1.5 billion were killed.

Sartin Civilization & Technology

About 400,000 years ago, Sartins developed intelligence and became hunters and gatherers with an average IQ of 10. Their height was roughly 1.2 - 1.4 meters and a width similar to a human. In the last 6,000 years, Sartins began constructing shelters and the very first tribes appeared. Tribes were always at war, fighting for domination over each tribe. Not many of these tribes formed alliances with each other. Tribal Sartins developed an IQ of about 45 and began creating the first religions, the oldest being 4,000 years old. Aketi's moon Narda played a major role in the creation of religions. By now, their height, on average, was between 1.60 and 1.80 meters. After thousands of years of getting more intelligent and reaching an average IQ of around 140 and 180, they began developing cities with skyscrapers as tall as 500 meters. They entered the Industrial Revolution about 1,600 years ago. During the last 300 years, they have survived the threat of climate change and several threats of alien invasions, although most of these aliens had fled to the center of the Milky Way to harness the power of the supermassive black hole. With their ever growing technology, they had discovered aliens beyond their planet in 2032 C.E.

In 3174 C.E, Sartins had received a signal from outer space that originated from Earth about 61,868 light years away. They had came to the conclusion that another civilization was among them in the Milky Way. In 3179 C.E, they had found a space probe performing a fly-by of their home world. A year later, in 3180 C.E, a Human spaceship had entered orbit around Aketi and made contact with the Sartins for the first time.

As of 10,000 C.E, the global population of Sartins reached 66.5 billion and growing at a rate that is getting faster every month. Since 2,800 C.E, they have colonized every planet in their solar system and terraforming any inhospitable worlds.

Sartins now seek the power of black holes, especially Sagittarius A*, the supermassive black hole which lies at the center of the Milky Way and holds most of the stars in the galaxy in extremely wide and long-period orbits. 

Sartin Culture & Religion

Sartins created religions almost 5,000 years ago but many of their believers were killed so the religions died off. The longest living religion is Arche'Ra, lasting for 4,000 years and still exists today, however, the number of believers is decreasing. It is predicted the religion will disappear from Sartin culture in 11,500 C.E. By 12,000 C.E, it is predicted that all religions that ever existed on Aketi will disappear and all Sartins will become non-religious.

The creation of Arche'Ra is believed to be caused by a very bright star 4,000 years ago. Although at this time it was only one Sartin, the religion had gained almost 5,000 believers within two years. The star that had brightened 4,000 years ago is believed to be an ancient supernova. It may have lasted for a month until slowly disappearing from the sky.

Climate & Geology

Aketi has a constant weather system where the winds become the strongest on the daylight side, creating a mega hurricane, raging for years without end. The mega hurricane can last almost 2,600 years, weakening to a strong EF5 tornado and strengthening throughout a century or two.

It has a mean temperature of around 11*C. The atmospheric pressure is 0.6. The atmosphere reaches as high as 102 km into space. Aketi's atmosphere composition is composed of 40% oxygen, 58% nitrogen and 2% of other gases, including carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide and many other gases.

Aketi has a lot less volcanoes than Earth but does have one super-volcano, located on the night side. The only evidence of this monster volcano is the deep, icy basin where most spaceports are found. The super-volcano, also known as Taka, is believed to erupt every 1.2 million years. It last erupted 1.3 million years ago, which means it is 100,000 years overdue. The next eruption could happen within the next 2,000 years (between 10,000 C.E and 12,000 C.E).

Upon the planet's formation 4.972 billion years ago, Aketi was much different. It was more hell-ish than an truely alien world. The entire surface was covered in lava that would be deep as 15 kilometers. Over millions of years, the lava cools down to form the planet's crust. Its core becomes molten and begins powering the planet's strong magnetic field which will allow the evolution of life for the next several billion years.


Like the Earth, Aketi's sun Maiva will die in a whimper, not in an explosion. Maiva will become a dim white dwarf which lasts for millions of years. After this phase, white dwarfs become black dwarfs, becoming invisible to the Universe and getting colder and colder as it ages.

Aketi will become a hot D-Class planet in billions of years from now. Aketi's moon Narda will also move closer and closer, due to tidal forces acting between the two bodies. In a few billion years, Narda will collide with Aketi, possibly bringing the end of life on Aketi.
