Inhabitants of Derva, a Type II civilization.

Soara's are slender and humanoid creatures with two arms and two legs. Each hand has two fingers and a thumb, that allows them to hold tools, weapons and various other items. On their fingers and thumbs are no nails. Their feet have three toes, a large one and two smaller ones, and similar to their fingers and thumbs, they also have no nails. All Soara's reach a height between 1.6 meters and 1.7 meters.

On average, they can live up to 130 Earth years.

Soara's share similar facial features to Humans, such as mouth and lips, a nose (but with three nostrils), three eyes (two eyes on the side and one on the forehead) and two ears on the side of their heads.

First appeared on Derva about 470,000 years ago, they were first hunter-gatherers until about 20,000 years ago when the first tribes appeared on the planet's surface. About 30,000 years ago, around the time of the last Ice Age, their aerial ancestors became extinct, making these Soara's the last type on their kind on the planet.

Due to a stonehenge-like structure that appeared on their planet, it is believed that aliens had visited them 140,000 years ago and constructed the famous Derva Henge. Most believe it was placed in the direction of Arneb, the brightest star in the sky, located 36.6 light years from Derva.

Derva Henge, also known as Arneb's Pointer, is a stone-like structure with a series of arched stones with a large plinth in the center. It is 40 meters in length and width with the stone arches reaching 7 meters tall. Some of these arches have fallen down by now due to violent storms crossing the path of Arneb's Pointer. In 3047, Arneb's Pointer became a hotspot for UFO sightings.

Around 30,000 years ago, the last Ice Age had begun which had influenced the evolution of Soaras. During this time, both male and female Soaras had grown fur on their torsos, both front and back.
