Zaramor is the last (sixth) planet in the Cirand-Hursel system, which is located in the Andromeda galaxy. It is a frigid arid planet with no living organisms on its surface. It does, however, house over 500,000 underground cities in which members of the human race inhabit. Zaramor is a planetary republic, with control of two different systems, those being 1) the Layra system, and 2) the Selucon system.
The combination of all three systems relative to Zaramor is known as the "Zaramorian Domain".
Zaramor is a hilly, mountainous planet covered in glaciers and glacial grooves. No native life currently exists on the planet (with the exception of humans living below the surface). Zaramor's climate is arid; there are no clouds and no form of moisture whatsoever. The average temperature is a consistent freezing temperature of -231.16 degrees Celsius. The planet spins quite fast on its axis, with an average day being 18 hours and 54 minutes. Zaramor has no moons, but it does have seven rings around it.
Side Note on Planetary Administration
Zaramor is a planetary republic, and all city regions each have a type of "state" status, in which voters elect a President of the planet every eight years. On each planet of Zaramor's system, there exists an individual type of government to rule themselves. However, it should be noted that the Zaramorian Domain's capital is Zaramor, and each populated planet sends one delegate to the United System Council as representatives.
Zaramor was formed over four billion years ago. Not much is cataloged for the Cirand-Hursel system as a whole, but the general consensus sits at that number.
In 34,988 BCE, an intelligent alien species was known to have made a small collection of buildings near the north polar region of the planet. All that remains of that settlement today are pictographs. The species left behind no tools, or any other object that would give researchers a clue into their lives.
In 2134 CE, the United States of America sent a delegation in a (then) new inter-galactic vessel destined for the Andromeda galaxy. The mission was to establish an underground city and mining operations in order to see how human colonization on other seemingly inhospitable planets would go. Essentially, the project was successful, even though there were rough times here and there. The water source was especially troublesome; the first colonizers had to ship water from Earth to Zaramor directly. This problem was resolved with the finding of the planet Aquon in the Layra system.
The main purpose of Zaramor was to mine. The United States benefited greatly off of the endeavor, with access to new minerals and elements that could be sold with great profit. To make a long story short, the connection to the United States broke off in 2634 CE, exactly 500 years since Zaramor's establishment as a colony. On that date, Zaramor became independent and made itself a planetary republic.
The mining business thrived underground, but eventually made its way to the surface. Today, great six-wheeled trucks take miners from the cities below to the operations above (the underground operations stopped in 2701 CE). Profit off of mining is still considerable.
The systems of Layra and Selucon were colonized in 2684 CE.
Transportation on Zaramor consists of starship bases that take people to and from the colonies, as well as Erizin-Kel (a planet roughly 40 light-years away), systems in the M 110 galaxy, and Earth via hyperlanes. Inter-city traffic is transported through levitated trains, and can reach speeds of 200 mph (321.9 km/h). The establishment of the train system was a great breakthrough, and caused much celebration throughout Zaramor.
Currently, Zaramor is a peaceful planet, and strives to keep in step with progress.
